Private Water Well Testing: The Teton County Sanitation Department has water sample bottles available in the office for submitting water samples to the testing labs. These can be sent to the Environmental Lab in Helena or to another certified lab. These labs can do a wide range of analysis from the most common (coliform bacteria testing) to general water quality and contamination from petroleum. At this time, a bacteriological (coliform) test costs $16.50. A basic screen (Bacteriological, Nitrate and Specific Conductivity) is $25.00. Of course, these prices are subject to change.

Sample bottles and forms are also available at the Extension Office.
