Money Management: A host of classes related to family financial matters are yours for the
asking. Topics include letter of last instructions, small claims court, premarital agreements, credit control, retirement, medical care
savings accounts, saving for college, check register tracking, marriage finances and power paying your way out of debt. Our MSU Family
Financial Specialist, Marsha Goetting is a tremendous resource and helps make many programs available through your local extension
agent.
Home Safe: This class uses a workbook called "Home A Syst" that helps you look at issues
of safety with your home. It can be a series class or a one-time class and you can select the topic from the workbook. This is a new
program and has not yet been given so call with plenty of lead time. Each lesson should take about 45 minutes.
Taste Sensations: How would you like to encourage better food choices through a
taste-testing opportunity? This class is nutrition in action as students will be allowed to taste a variety of fruits and vegetables as
well as sample some nutrition information! Adaptable for all ages.
YES! Youth Experiences in Science: These classes teach science concepts through
experimentation with bubbles, snails or kitchen chemistry. Adaptable for elementary classes.
Money on the Bookshelf: This class provides lifetime money management skills through this
financial literacy class. For grades K-4.
My Eyes Are Bigger Than My Stomach: Class on food portions and how to make reasonable
choices. For upper elementary-adult.
