If I am doing open burning, do I need a permit and where do I get one?
YES, you need to obtain a burning permit from the following sources:
1. County Fire Warden,
2. Any Mountain View Coop location
3. Bob Sheeler in Pendroy
4. The Store in Fairfield
5. Choteau Feed and Seed
Teton County has adopted an annual fire season and permit ordinance that requires anyone burning in Teton County to obtain a burning
permit (free of charge). Any fire, which exceeds 25 square feet, requires notification to the sheriffs office prior to ignition.
Besides Teton County requirements, certain times of year and certain burning is restricted by the State of Montana. To review their
